B-Tech’s Annual Invitational Golf Day 2023 Tees Off with Great Success.
On the 31st of August, B-Tech made a triumphant return to the prestigious Frilford Heath Golf Club in Oxford for our 8th annual Invitational Golf Day. This exclusive event welcomed golfing aficionados representing our esteemed industry partners and valued customers. It was a day of lush green landscapes sprawled across 500 acres, friendly competition and a charitable spirit as we raised funds for the British Heart Foundation with our Marshmallow competition.
This year, we marked another success in hosting our largest customer event at B-Tech, providing the ideal occasion to express our gratitude to our incredible customers and partners, commemorating another year of mutual growth within the industry.
The day commenced under slightly overcast skies with a few intermittent showers. However, the weather did little to dampen the spirits of our enthusiastic attendees. Armed with complimentary B-Tech umbrellas, our teams set off onto the golf course following early morning refreshments and a thorough morning briefing. The afternoon saw a brief presentation by our Managing Director of Operations UK, Mark Walker, followed by the awards ceremony, orchestrated by our Key Account Manager, Matt Nixon, who was also the proud organiser of the event. Matt shared his thoughts on the event:
“Once again, hosting our annual B-Tech Golf Day at Frilford Heath last week was an absolute pleasure. This marked B-Tech’s 8th golf day, which proved to be another immensely enjoyable day for all involved.”

Matt went on to say:
“We were fortunate to catch a well-timed weather break from the rain, allowing us to showcase the spectacular Heathland course. Seventeen teams relished a fabulous day of golf, with a particular highlight being our charity hole challenge, where players engaged in the ‘longest drive with a marshmallow’ competition. I’m delighted to report that this lighthearted endeavour raised an impressive £640.00 for The British Heart Foundation, all while generating plenty of laughter.”
“As our golf day continues to gain momentum, our underlying ethos remains unchanged: providing our customers, partners, and friends with a relaxed and friendly environment. I’m immensely proud of the entire B-Tech team for creating this fantastic atmosphere and for their invaluable contributions to the seamless execution of the event. I vividly recall our first golf day when we were thrilled to have just nine teams.”
