B-Tech AV Mounts’ award-winning curved dvLED mounting solution was selected for the installation of an Absen dvLED video wall as part of a major upgrade to the boardroom facilities at Coppell ISD’s headquarters in Texas.
The Challenge
Coppell ISD wanted to modernise the AV system within the boardroom of its administration building. Used for monthly board meetings, workshops and regular meetings, the room relied on a traditional projection system with a motorised screen that descended from the ceiling behind board members seated at the dais.
The existing setup presented several challenges. Because of the curved rear wall, the projection screen had to sit a considerable distance into the room, reducing the available space around the dais. Image brightness and contrast were also limited, requiring overhead lighting to be lowered during use, while board members seated in front of the projector could cast shadows across the screen.
A new display solution was therefore required to improve image quality, maximise the available space and create a more practical environment for meetings and presentations. Texas-based AV integrator Data Projections was appointed to design and install a modern solution for the room.
The Solution
Data Projections recommended replacing the projection-based system with a direct-view LED video wall, delivering improved brightness, image clarity and contrast while eliminating the shadowing associated with the existing projector.
The curved rear wall created an additional challenge. A conventional flat dvLED display would still have projected significantly into the room, reducing the usable space around the dais. Instead, a curved dvLED installation was designed to closely follow the contour of the existing wall.
The display was created using Absen NX Series 2.5mm LED cabinets in a 12 × 3 configuration, mounted using B-Tech’s award-winning BT9343 curved dvLED mounting system.
For the installation, the BT9343-ABS mounting kit was specified, a solution designed specifically for Absen LED cabinets. Installed across 12 sections, the system enabled the video wall to accurately follow the radius of the existing curved wall while maintaining precise cabinet alignment.

The Result
The completed curved dvLED video wall successfully addressed the limitations of the previous projection system while transforming the overall boardroom experience. Board members no longer have a projector positioned towards them, room lighting can remain at a comfortable level and shadows across the display have been eliminated.
Following the curvature of the wall also significantly increased the usable space around the dais. The new installation protrudes just 5 inches from the wall, compared with approximately 12 inches previously, allowing the full dais area to be utilised more effectively.
Combined with the increased brightness, vivid colours and clarity of the Absen dvLED display, the finished installation provides a significantly improved viewing experience and a modern, highly functional boardroom environment for Coppell ISD.
